Interviews and screens participants to capture demographics and income information to determine financial eligibility for WIC, Presumptive Eligibility for Pregnant Women, Medicaid and DOH-Orange Family Planning and Prenatal Health. Completes required FL-Wi SE WIC computer system screens, temporary certification and ineligibility forms, reviews immunization records as per program requirements.
Collects, prepares, scans and records client information according to policies and procedures and to assure meaningful use compliance. Determines eligibility qualifications for FDOH-Orange and Medicaid programs utilizing HMS, Florida, Wages and FMMIS systems as accessible. Prepares and file patient s application for Presumptive Eligibility for Pregnant Women using documentation obtained from the patient. Facilitates completion of Medicaid and ACA applications, eligibility, and receipt by the state within designated timelines. Educates client on financial responsibility, initiates payment plan for services, and refers to debt management as indicated.
Coordinates and refers clients to other agencies and departments as deemed appropriate. Quality Assurance: Accurately codes and documents services, education, and other pertinent information in participant’s electronic record to include FL Wise, Well Family System, HMS, Florida, Wages and FMMIS system. Utilizes solid judgment and adhere to all policies ensuring the protection of confidential information related to patient/family demographics, medical information, etc. according to both internal and Federal HIPAA regulations and guidelines.

This position directs and administers highly technical Reemployment Assistance program functions. Coordinates unit responses to a large volume of claimant inquiries relating to eligibility for Reemployment Assistance. Provides guidance to management on the development of initiatives related to the provision of Reemployment Assistance Program service. Reviews, provides technical assistance, and consults with administrator regarding performance of RA statewide processes and federal programs.
Aids in the interpretation of the Florida RA Law and Federal Regulations pertaining to reemployment assistance. Advises higher level management in regard to problems and policies related to programmatic and operational issues and prepares recommendations that insure uniformity of policies, instructions, directives, and other procedures in regard to the RA Program. Office hours are 8:00 a. m. to 5:00 p. m. Eastern Standard TIme, Monday through Friday. Statutes. The criminal history check must be completed within the first three (3) days of employment. This position works in the General Serves Section assisting FWC's safety coordinator with FWC's safety program.
Duties and Responsibilities include: Serves as FWC's Safety Manager Develops, implements, and maintains a program of employee safety education. Performs safety duties for the purpose of preventing employee injury, reducing workers' compensation claims, and preventing damage and/or loss to equipment and property. Develops, implements, and maintains safe operating policies for use of equipment that are consistent with manufacturers' recommendations and specifications Develops,
implements, and maintains safe operating policies for FWC equipment that are consistent with governmental safety regulations and manufacturers' recommendations and specifications Coordinates with FWC's Safety Advisory Board on recommendations for adopting changes in safety rules and regulations and prepares safety manuals, rules, Commission Internal Management Policies and Procedures.
Performs other duties as required. Knowledge, skills, and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position: Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis; Knowledge of basic management principles and practices; Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work flow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices; Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials; Ability to conduct fact-finding research; Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques; Ability to work independently; Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities; Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments; Ability to communicate effectively; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have one or more years' experience in developing and conducting training presentations. Must have 3 or more years' experience in utilization of Microsoft Office products. Must be willing to travel periodically to attend training sessions, meetings and special assignments. Prefer candidate with experience querying data, performing ad hoc reporting, and analyzing statistical data. Prefer candidate with experience in safety and/or emergency management procedures.
Must pass a level 2 background check.
