The Peer Recovery Coach: • Supports patients in utilizing goal setting processes to further their recovery. • Supports patients and families in choosing the services, programs, and recovery groups that help them reach their goals. Provides resources and referrals to community and social support services. • Teaches problem solving techniques and life skills to individuals
and/or groups. • Role models the value of every individual’s recovery experience. • Participates and attend team meetings, staffing, and/or consultations. • Completes necessary paperwork and adheres to all deadlines.
• Assists in recruitment and retention of patients/families in grant. • Assists with community outreach activities. • Transports patients to appointments as required. Schedule The schedule for this position is generally M-F, 9a-5:30p with some flexibility for evenings or weekends as needed for patient care. Requirements Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and a personal experience with recovery. Candidates must have basic computer skills and
excellent communication skills. Must have the ability to complete recovery coach training and/or peer support training as soon as possible after hire date.
This position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to pass an extensive background check. Salary and Benefits Candidate’s pay will be commensurate with experience and education.
