Lead the service and maintenance of gas engine compressor packages and associated equipment for multiple applications. Supervise and train less-experienced Field Service Technicians. Directly manage a team of Service Technicians in accordance with company policies.
Assign and oversee the field workforce, including performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, issue resolution, and other HR functions as required. Monitor paperwork flow to ensure accuracy and completeness throughout the billing process.
Calculate and interpret Compressor Performance runs and other OEM Software. Provide preventative and corrective field mechanical service on gas compression, process, and/or production equipment at client locations. Troubleshoot and repair equipment, packages, and systems. Conduct minor and major overhauls and revamps. Demonstrate strong mechanical abilities to set level and align prime mover to driven equipment using dial indicators and/or laser alignment
tools. Provide labor, guidance, and coordination for immediate repair needs and major equipment overhauls and operation.
Identify and address equipment, package, and plant inefficiencies/issues. Offer 24/7 coverage and be available for rotational callouts. Take initiative and fulfill duties consistent with company standards, policies, and controllable expense budget. Provide input to the Supervisor on personnel and materials needs for optimal job planning. Deliver leadership and training to new Field Technicians. Assist in equipment Start-up/Commissioning with a broad understanding of procedures and requirements. Be knowledgeable about purging and loading practices/procedures.
