About the job The Security Team in the SAS9 division is looking for a Senior Software Developer. The team is responsible for security work related to remediation of code vulnerabilities and vulnerable third-party components identified by customers and internal security scans.

The work by this team is fast-paced and the impact spans across multiple SAS9 releases, ship events, solution teams, and divisions. In this role you will design, develop, and test new and existing code to remediate vulnerable third-party components delivered in the software and/or in relation to securing

vulnerable areas of the software identified with security scans or from internal or external customers. You will also help troubleshoot and triage issues reported by internal and external customers and interact with SAS Technical Support to assist customers reporting security vulnerabilities in shipping versions of the SAS9.

As a Senior Software Developer, you will: Analyze, implement, and backss third-party components. Evaluate and remediate CVEs found in SAS 9 software. Code per specifications and standards. Work collaboratively with development, testing, product, operations, and support peers across the SAS9 Division to triage and resolve security-related issues. Ensure quality by

creating and supporting automated tests with extensive code coverage. Evolve software architecture to meet changes in security requirements.

Scope requirements and estimate effort. Stay informed of emerging technologies and use them appropriately. Support internal and external customers. Perform other duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related quantitative field. 8 years of experience as a developer on large software projects. Strong Java programming experience. Strong understanding of the SAS 9 product line and middle tier architecture.

Strong secure software development practices. Strong understanding of software development tools, methodologies, and principles. Strong understanding of REST APIs. Understanding of cyber security principles (FIPS, TLS, Certificate and Private Key infrastructure, ciphers) Expert user of common software security tools (Snyk, Klocwork, Black Duck, OWASP ZAP, Burpe Suite) Strong understanding of Jenkins and Python Effective communication and strong problem-solving skills. Experience with collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence. Experience using CVS, Gerrit, Git, or Git Hub for source code management and code review.

Experience with integration, regression, and unit testing. An equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
