A knowledge of general characteristics of children that are moderate, severe or profound intellectually disabled
and other related services that may include special transportation, occupational, physical therapies speech, adapted physical education, and technology are required.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree is required with at least a 2.5 GPA. Minimum of SRT4-Certification in Special Education Deaf Consultative AND ALL 5 of the Special Education Academic Content Areas (Math, Science, Social Studies, Reading and English); OR Passed the GACE Program Admissions backssment or have exemption eligibility (ACT/SAT/GRE scores) and passed the Special Education Deaf Consultative and the Special Education Academic Content Areas (Math, Science, Social Studies, Reading and English) and GACE Educator Ethics Program Entry. Must hold the Georgia PSC-issued Certificate of Eligibility if educator certification is not issued in the state of Georgia.
