CDM students including, but not limited to: •Provides ongoing communication to prospective students from inquiry through first quarter enrollment. • Review application files • Meet with prospective students to provide guidance in program selection and clarification of application process and admission requirements • Render admission decisions according to posted admission criteria.
When students do not meet posted requirements, secure supplemental materials and makes recommendation for or against admission to the designated faculty person or committee. • Advocate on behalf of students who request exceptions to admission criteria • Manage admission process for faculty committees in programs
which require committee level review • Review transcripts • Compute application GPA calculations • Referral to university resources • University policy interpretation Recruits and assists with new and existing programs and services in the Graduate Admission Office including but not limited to: • Represent De Paul and CDM at off campus recruitment events • Information sessions - on campus and online • Lunch & Learn sessions - Orientations -Admitted student events • New Graduate Student Registration Participates in special events as sponsored by the College, the Office of Admissions, and other university offices: • Commencement Ceremony • New GR Student Reception • Open Houses Participates in professional
development activities, technology training, and serves on college and university committees.
What You'll Need: Bachelor's Degree required. One to three years experience working in higher education student services preferred. Prior admission related experience preferred. People Soft and Slate systems experience preferred. Recognize and respect diverse backgrounds. Superior interpersonal written communication skills and group presentation skills. Ability to manage large amounts of information and be detail oriented. Ability to multitask. Demonstrate initiative, creativity, and teamwork. Must participate in the overall team effort of service towards efficient operation of the department.
Ability to transport computer and promotional materials to off campus events. Occasional evening and weekend work required. Occasional out of town travel required.
