Job Summary Responsible for participating in project teams, researching technical topics related to Company operations, new product implementation, assisting with existing products and services and the overall upkeep and maintenance of designated areas of engineering. The Capacity Operations Engineer 2 is responsible for coordinating and prioritizing

the full lifecycle of node level proactive and reactive capacity augments for both field and headend. The Engineer 2 possesses an intermediate to advanced level of industry knowledge and skill and has familiarity with tools and processes in engineering and operations.

They work with both internal and external partners to ensure quality meets Comcast standards while exceeding customer expectations and maintaining our competitive advantage on technology. Performs event correlation and identifies probable root cause; provides trouble isolation, basic troubleshooting and break/fix activities. This role will play a vital part in ensuring our network has the capacity it needs to support our

customers. Please note : This position is in office 4 days and 1 day remote weekly at the listed location.

Job Description Primary Responsibilities Responsible for the full lifecycle management of capacity related jobs. Manages and owns tasks in P2 and MWF while also maintaining additional tools such as ECAF, NDS, Watchtower, etc. Acts as the subject matter expert for team and other cross-functional partners to train and coach. Troubleshoots and works cross-functionally with other teams to ensure successful completion of jobs. Works closely with Construction, ISP/Headend, Access Engineering, XOC and others. Leads project calls and guides the team on scheduling to meet objectives.

Take a customer centric approach to all activities and operate as a team-player with willingness to flex and go above and beyond. Core Responsibilities Ability to troubleshoot and repair all but the most complex issues. Performs maintenance activities with a minimum of supervision and guidance. Leads technical outage bridges and engages appropriate resources to drive issues to closure. Acts as an advocate for Engineering Operations procedures, policies and processes. Ensures projects and initiatives are adhering to Company standards. Tracks and reports operational workflows; maintains records of results and feedback.

Analyzes data and metrics, identifies problem areas and provides actionable insight. Acts as a technical resource in projects and initiatives and ensures successful project implementation. Contributes to design considerations for new products or architectural changes to existing products. Analyses problems in design, configuration, data flow and data state within a highly complex multi-product provisioning system. Performs routine maintenance tests for designated areas of engineering and ensures all maintenance is properly validated to minimize impact.

Provides training and guidance to less experienced team members. Attains industry standard certifications and education. Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Relevant Work Experience 2-5 Years Salary: Primary Location Pay Range: $78,223.44 - $117,335.16Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
