THE OPPORTUNITY If you have more than 10 years of experience, want to grow and manage your own business practice, and can work from either one of our Austin, Round Rock, or San Antonio offices, the KFA General Engineering and Development Review Business Practice Leader (BPL) might be the position you're looking for. As our General Engineering and Development Review BPL, you

will focus on growing the existing practice to provide general engineering, and planning and engineering development review services to counties and cities throughout Central Texas.

This means you will be responsible for: Developing, maintaining, and implementing a business development plan for the General Engineering and Development Review Practice that identifies new county and municipal clients throughout Central Texas and the work needed to earn their business and maintain them as clients. Managing the development review staff responsible for providing engineering and planning reviews for residential and commercial development within counties and cities, and city extra territorial jurisdictions (ETJs).

Working with the Transportation, Water, and Drainage Business Practice Leaders to support our county and municipal clients in the planning, design, construction and maintenance of streets, sidewalks, water and sewage systems, drainage structures, transportation facilities and other public works projects. Preparing engineering designs, specifications, and cost estimates for a wide variety of capital improvement projects. Attending meetings with planning and zoning committees, commissioner's court, and city councils, affected property owners and developers, and meetings with county and municipal staff.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering More than 10 years of experience Texas PE Experience in county and municipal engineering, and land development review Experience working directly with county and municipal government staff and elected officials Design and plan production experience Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Excellent written and verbal communication skills required to build relationships with clients and team members Preferred Requirements: Experience appearing before city councils, commissioner's courts, municipal boards and commissions, municipal staff, property owners, and developers Experience with county and municipal permitting software ABOUT US KFA is a rapidly growing civil engineering consulting firm that focuses exclusively on serving public sector clients.
