The role is key to the business growth and successful delivery of projects for Bechtel’s Manufacturing and Technology (M&T) clients. This position provides oversight to Process Engineers and Designers as well as Procurement and Construction Management personnel in the delivery of water treatment projects. Responsibilities The key areas of responsibility include technical excellence, driving innovation, consistency, design guides and standards, work processes and tools, and internal as well as external relationships. The role works to identify, develop and incorporate best practices, industry leading processes and tools, and to provide training and development of M&T engineering and construction professionals to ensure the quality delivery of wastewater collection, handling, treatment and reclaim systems.
Provides expertise to project teams from pre-FEED through all phases of project delivery including startup and turnover. Project Team/Group Lead for Semiconductor Wastewater facility projects. Provides leadership in the backssment of technical issues and contributes experience and expertise in the solution of difficult problems. Works with client system owners and other team stakeholders to ensure that systems meet client requirements and performance expectations.
Serve in a Senior Reviewer role conducting engineering and construction reviews for key water treatment projects. Able to lead proposal development as well as support management reviews of projects and proposals. Participates and actively engages in relevant professional organizations and conferences. Visits project teams and sites to assist with on-project technical challenges. Qualifications and Skills: Basic Qualifications Registered PE. Bachelors or higher degree in chemical engineering from an accredited university.
15 years of experience directly relating to and including design, engineering, specification, and construction of semiconductor (or similar high-tech) water treatment facilities. 5 years of experience with semiconductor wastewater reclaim systems. Additional Qualifications: Substantial experience in EPC industry and/or facility operations, with multiple years in a leadership role. A thorough understanding of water treatment engineering principles and their application to typical semiconductor water treatment systems. Extensive experience with major regulations and industry codes and standards affecting standard design, specification, quality, or processes.
Excellent communication and people development skills. Extensive relevant experience and adaptability to support water systems required in M&T client facilities and operations.
