Duties are to include Complete tasks assigned by Supervisor in a timely and professional manner Using a company vehicle to perform repairs, preventive and corrective maintenance on the wastewater collection system which includes but not limited to 13 Lift stations, control panels, E1 grinder pumps, Valves, manholes, ARVs, clean outs and WWTP equipment.
The Lead Mechanic responds to alarms and calls from Manager and answering service Maintain pump stations, facilities and all equipment related to Job Make Equipment adjustments and maintain records and report all issues and repairs Learn to rebuild and install E1 grinder pumps- class provided The Lead Mechanic will
need basic math and reading skills, be able to learn and adapt to Technology such as the use of GIS and multiple different systems to help keep up with WWTP and Pump Stations The Lead Mechanic is expected to understand and apply all safety measures in everyday operations The Lead Mechanic must be willing to work after hours calls and emergency response call to the WWTP and Pump Stations The Lead Mechanic will be inspecting the Pump Stations visually to keep track of run times, grease and rag build up.
Performs other related functions that have been assigned, or have become apparent The Lead Mechanic will be expected to work from 8am to 4pm unless otherwise noted by manager or on call
The Lead mechanic must be able to troubleshoot control panels, site equipment, pumps and or hydraulic/mechanical Equipment A truck and tools will be provided The lead Mechanic will be pulling Lift Station pumps, troubleshooting them to make the appropriate repairs Knowledge and Skills Basic Math and reading skills Basic knowledge of technology and the ability to adapt to technology Ability to work professionally and efficiently with coworkers and contractors on various projects Ability to work professionally with customers and clients Ability to exercise independent judgement in a situation that might require it to the best of the situation Ability to lift 75 pounds Ability to keep records and maintain a clean work space Experience and Education High School Diploma and or GED Years of Experience may vary depending on position Welding and pipe fitting a plus
