Job Description Under the direction of the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that each piece of equipment is safe to operate and is in no danger of component failure while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect Kinross’ values. Job Responsibilities 1. Must perform quality wash and steam clean on equipment. 2. Must be capable
of doing a thorough inspection on equipment. 3. Must be able to recognize potential problems. 4. Must be able to drain oils, and refill end filters. 5. Identify problems with magnetic plugs.
6. Perform minor mechanical repairs. 7. Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, environmental, confidentiality and code of conduct. 8. Meets or exceeds established performance expectations set by management. 9. Consistently exercises discretion and judgment in job performance. 10. Works without risk or harm to self and others. 11. Punctuality and regular attendance required. 12. Helps develop other department personnel to perform duties listed above.
13. Performs other related functions as assigned by supervisor.
Education and Experience 1. Must have basic mechanical aptitude. 2. Must have a basic understanding of oil analysis. 3. Must be willing to work overtime on short notice. 4. Diesel tech. diploma is preferred. 5. 1 year of diesel repair experience is preferred. 6. Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills. 7. General understanding of mining operations, as well as limited understanding of milling and maintenance operations. 8. Working knowledge and skill with P. C. utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software. 9. Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.
10. Ability to work independently and also as a member of the management team. 11. Demonstrates strong administrative, organizational and technical writing skills. 12. Must be 18 years old and presently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis. 13. Requires valid driver’s license.
