Job Description Plant Laborers keep plant equipment, tanks, and containment areas clean of oil, grease, algae, sludge, spills, snow and other material.
A thorough understanding of the equipment and plant safety policies and procedures is required. Day Shift Monday through Friday 7AM to 3:30PM Job Duties and Tasks Include Using fire hoses to clean and pump sludge from tanks Perform confined space entries to clean tanks Pressure washing
Cleaning spills from floors Scrape and clean scale from walls and basins Hose out drains and troughs Clean up and dispose of trash and debris Clean lime from process equipment Clean grease and oil from handrails, toe plates and process equipment Spray and pull weeds on plant grounds Clean parking lots and walking surfaces from snow, ice and loose gravel Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat and cold Perform work safely using lockout/tagout procedures and PPE Climb ladders onto structures Lift and operate 50 pounds of equipment frequently Minimum Qualifications Special consideration will be given to candidates who live in the service area.
