in Wisconsin Rapids/Plover, Wisconsin is a large-scale food processing plant, employing approximately 500 employees.
This site specializes in the production of french fries and mashed potatoes and produces roughly 2 million pounds of french fries a day! Position Summary : As the Packaging Specialist you will have the opportunity to work on different lines to insert hash brown patties into a carton, sort product or assist operators. You will operate all related production equipment in a safe and efficient manner and contribute to the production of our quality products! You would be working closely with the line operator and be given the opportunity for promotion in to a full time operator role when available!
Key Responsibilities: 1. Inspects for and removes product and package defects. 2. Remove foreign material or bad product from line flow. 3. Occasionally required to help rework other product. 4. Perform factory clean-ups. 5. Notify Leadership of quality and production line problems. 6. Pack boxes of finished goods. 7. Upgrades to semi-skilled positions frequently. Qualifications: Ability to read and understand and communicate safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to solve practical problems.
Ability to comprehend and communicate in Basic English and interact with all levels of the organization. Must be able to enter data into a computer. Physical Demand: Constant: Use and movement of hands and standing on regularly scheduled shift. Substantial visual alertness. Bending, grasping of hands, and reaching throughout shift.
