or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

A background investigation and credit check are required. This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include

testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.

This position has been designated " Mission Essential" In severe weather conditions or other emergency situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations. Duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U. S. states or possessions to operate vehicles. Incumbent must be fully qualified to operate a government vehicle. This position has a requirement to lift up to 45 lbs.

in the regular performance of duties. This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Employee shifts are rotated on a regularly scheduled basis. Employees are required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime. This position is subject to the provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban referred to as the Lautenberg Amendment. This act bans individuals convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence and others from possession or access to firearms. This position requires certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) training.

Incumbent will be required to maintain physical conditioning and pass an initial and annual physical agility test (PAT). Must wear the Department of the Army Security Guard (DASG) uniform IAW AR 190-56, maintain a high state of appearance and hygiene. At employment consideration and periodically thereafter, must be backssed under the Individual Reliability Program for social adjustment, emotional stability, sound judgment, flexibility, work well under pressure or emergency conditions, etc. Position may require chemical protection masks, gloves, and other protective equipment, and certified in the use of aerosol irritants and baton.

Must not have medical conditions that preclude wearing of a chemical protective mask and over garments. Incumbent must be able to obtain and sustain state certification for operating the NCIC terminals. Incumbent must successfully complete security guard training. Incumbent must be proficient in use of assigned firearms/weapons, pass an initial qualification, and must qualify semi-annually thereafter in the use of assigned firearms/weapons. Weapons training and qualifications will be conducted IAW AR 190-56.

TDY up to 10% may be required. Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.
