Position Overview: The Target Systems Engineer will provide Systems Engineering support to the Missile Defense Agency Target and Countermeasures - long range targets program.
Job Responsibilities: Support technical baseline management of the system design Participate in technical reviews including design and test execution reviews Evaluate objective evidence in support of milestone reviews Review and evaluate of non-conformances, engineering change requests, and work packages Technical support for acquisition including development of statement of work, support of independent Government cost estimate and proposal evaluation Prepare technical briefings and decision packages Assist in the inspection of bonded components, harness/cable routing, and missile system components Review flight test requirements Participate in working groups, forums, and technical meetings Participate in drawing reviews to aid in real-time changes Review prime contractor command media and extrapolate pertinent information Provide status reports of activities Required Education, Abilities, and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a STEM field 7+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large Do D program/project Ability to work independently Excellent analysis and problem solving abilities Desired Skills and Experience: Familiarity with MDA and system engineering processes Experience in missile system assembly, integration, and test Technical experience in support of the acquisition of missile systems Knowledge of hazardous operations (Ordnance, Lifts/ Movements, and Pressure) Strong presentation skills Proficiency with Microsoft tools (e.
