All duties and responsibilities are performed under the supervision of an independently licensed mental health professional CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct clinical intake interviews with all referred patients and provide a written backssment.
Review all referrals with program director to decide if/when they will begin the program. Obtain insurance authorization when adolescent begins the program. Co-lead clinical groups with other staff members. Provide coverage for other clinicians when they are absent or on vacation. This may include carrying
cases and providing all necessary services. Participate in weekly rounds and staff meetings. Ensure staff are aware of incoming admissions. ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in the keeping of records for admission purposes.
Contribute to the daily organization of referrals including keeping logs, filing necessary paperwork and inputting information in Epic when necessary. Ensure the timely completion of all documentation and other required paperwork needed to facilitate patientevaluation, transition and billing (e. g. treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, psychosocial backssment, signed releases, patient care referral forms, etc. ) when necessary. Contribute to the efficient operation of the program, the hospital and. where appropriate, his/her clinical department through team work, cooperation and participation in problem solving activities. Education: MSW License; Attaining LCSW licensure is not required upon hire to perform the essential functions of this job, however, as a condition of continued employment, it is a requirement to receive LCSW licensure within 12 months of hire, or upon the one year anniversary of employment-along with the annual review. Failure to attain this licensure will result in termination of employment-failing to meet a condition of employment.
Exceptions may be made for extenuating circumstances preventing an employee from attaining licensure must be approved by the Director of Social Work Skills/Abilities/Competencies Broad range of clinical skills including psychiatric backssment, capacity to formulate a case and develop a therapeutic alliance, and plan treatment and aftercare. Crisis stabilization. Family support and intervention. Clinical privileges or eligibility for privileges in his/her discipline in individual, family and couples treatment Familiarity with the discharge planning process as well as community resources, public service delivery systems^and consumer entitlement programs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a rapidly changing system of care. Familiarity with computerized clinical data bases. Experience; Experience in providing a range of clinical services including: backssment, treatment and discharge planning. Experience in a managed care environment and the capacity to work collaboratively with managed careorganizations. Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary staff both within the Hospital and the community at large.
