Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications issued by the American Heart Association required. National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
Basic Arrhythmia Recognition and Treatment Course require within 6 months of hire. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification issued by the American Heart Association preferred. Trauma Nursing Care Course (TNCC) and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) preferred. Demonstrates basic competencies in clinical nursing. Ability to apply theoretical concepts to clinical practice and continually expands knowledge base and clinical skills with a focus in emergency nursing. Basic knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation required.
