Duties Represent borrowers, lenders, and/or government-sponsored enterprises in commercial loan transactions.
Review, draft, and negotiate loan documents for various real estate finance transactions. Manage legal due diligence, including examining organizational documents, ownership structures, titles, surveys, zoning, leases, and legal opinions. Handle and oversee complex commercial real estate transactions from start to finish. Requirements Minimum of 4 years
of relevant experience in real estate finance. Prior law firm experience is required. Experience with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and/or other multifamily lenders, and/or syndicated credit facilities is a plus.
Strong background in loans secured by multifamily housing, seniors housing, affordable housing, manufactured housing, and/or hotels. Comfortable training and managing junior associates and paralegals. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Detail-oriented and organized with an outstanding academic record. Education Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Admission to and in good standing with the Virginia Bar. Skills Proficient in reviewing,
drafting, and negotiating loan documents. Ability to manage legal due diligence processes.
