interacting with clients, and collaborating with the Immigration Team of Attorneys and legal assistants. The candidate will be responsible for explaining immigration concepts, representing individuals in removal proceedings, managing a diverse caseload, and preparing various immigration applications.
Job Details: Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions to clients. Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings at the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals. Manage a caseload, including diverse immigration applications and removal defense cases. Visit and conduct intakes with detained individuals at centers. Review immigration applications/packets
and make necessary adjustments. Present to and work with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on changes in immigration law.
Meet with potential clients for strategic immigration consultations and determine necessary strategies. Develop strategies and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimony. Provide legal analysis for clients to determine possible case benefits. Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases. Requirements: At least 3-5 years of Immigration Law Experience. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred. Possess exceptional interpersonal skills. Record of moving legal cases forward and ability to manage a caseload.
Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
Experience with Case Management Software is preferred. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Benefits offered: Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
