Job Summary: Lead, Motivate, Support and Develop purchasing team to support all aspects of an operations business. Including product development, production tooling and equipment, Direct materials for Operations and MRO items. Strategic partner

to the product development and costing teams to set and meet cost targets throughout the development process. Search out and find world class suppliers. Audit and develop supply base to ensure supplier can support long term needs and goals.

Establish strategic partnerships where necessary. Negotiate significant contracts to support other business needs as required. Key Responsibilities: Develop, lead and execute purchasing Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve costs Craft negotiation strategies and closing deals with optimal terms Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation Forecast price and market trends to identify changes in

commodity pricing Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking backss, manage and mitigate risks Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers Vetting suppliers to better understand supplier capacity and capabilities to support the business Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand based on market trends Key Requirements & Qualifications: Proven working experience as Purchasing Manager within the automotive industry 10+ years of experience in related field Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management Interest in market dynamics along with business sense A knack for negotiation and networking Working experience of vendor management software Ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures Solid judgment along with decision making skills Strong leadership capabilities and communication skills BS degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) a plus or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM).
