The New Production Development (NPD) Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for proactively managing supplier quality activities during the new product development process. You will identify areas of quality improvement by working with several cross functional teams in NPD, Engineering, Operations, and Global Supply to implement programs of strategic innovation to Tennant’s strong product quality. Develop and effectively manage the successful execution of the part approval plan & supplier development opportunities within assigned categories Drive a structured approach, with suppliers, during the NPD phases utilizing tools such as capability backssments, process mapping, PFMEA, and part qualification - Material Design Review and First Articles Facilitate supplier reviews encompassing supplier design simulation, testing, and validation activities to ensure delivered quality at both the prototype and product launch phase Work with procurement, supplier quality and design personnel to ensure alignment between supplier capability and design requirements Partners with design engineering team
